Value Reconstruction in New Energy Industry: Schneider Electric Cracks the Transition Dilemma with “Dual-Drive”

As the photovoltaic matrix in the Saudi desert converts solar energy into urban electricity, China’s new energy industry stands at the crossroads of “scale breakthrough” and “value deepening.” According to China Electricity Council data, China’s new energy installed capacity reached 1.45 billion kilowatts in 2024, completing the wind-solar capacity target six years ahead of schedule. However, challenges like grid integration pressure and homogeneous competition are forcing enterprises to shift from “quantitative expansion” to “qualitative breakthrough.” Schneider Electric outlines a clear transition path for the industry through “agile innovation” and “ecological collaboration” at SNEC 2025 and the Al Shuqaiq project.

Scenario-Based Innovation: Precise Anchoring from Technical Parameters to User Value

At SNEC 2025, Schneider Electric‘s DC three-element global protection solution became the spotlight – this system centered on the EasyPact CVS DC NE circuit breaker directly addresses the DC protection blind spots in energy storage batteries, providing a technical model for industry safety standards. This innovation logic stems from deep insight into user scenarios: in the building sector, PV-storage-DC-soft load technology has transformed a Wuhan factory into a DC microgrid, achieving annual carbon reduction of 577 tons through real-time matching of renewable energy and electrical loads; in extreme environments, the wind power-specific circuit breaker adapted to 5,200 meters above sea level breaks through the application bottleneck of high-altitude electrical equipment with its arc extinguishing system resistant to -40℃.

“Agile innovation is not just technological iteration but a reconstruction of value priorities,” according to Schneider Electric. In recent years, products like medium-low voltage integrated solutions and WOTPC DC dual power supplies have all rapidly responded to the market with a “small steps, fast iteration” model. For example, the development cycle for niche solutions in photovoltaics and energy storage has been shortened by 40% from demand research to product launch, ensuring technological innovation remains synchronized with scenario needs.

Ecological Collaboration: Value Resonance in Global Industrial Chain

The success of the 2.6GW Saudi PV project is essentially a crystallization of collaboration among over 50 enterprises from 10 countries. With its international standards for substation electrical solutions, Schneider Electric has formed complementary advantages with Chinese enterprises like China Energy Engineering Group. This “ecological win-win” model was further extended at SNEC – the joint white paper on energy storage safety with Hybric integrates the dual expertise in equipment manufacturing and system integration, providing a full-chain solution from R&D to standard setting for the industry. Data shows this cooperation has driven a 15% cost reduction in energy storage systems and a 30% drop in safety accident rates, confirming the value amplification effect of ecological collaboration.

Localized R&D: A Strategic Pivot for Chinese Innovations to Feed Global Markets

Schneider Electric’s dual-drive strategy is rooted in its deep “China-Centric” layout. Among its five R&D centers in China, the Low Voltage R&D Center for Energy Management has output over 30 globally leading technologies since 2019, with innovations like PV-storage-DC-soft load systems and high-altitude electrical products not only serving the Chinese market but also reverse-empowering projects in Europe and the Middle East. The Jinshan Innovation Experimental Park completed in 2024 integrates R&D, testing, and application scenarios through its new power system demonstration base, forming a value closed-loop of “Chinese R&D – global application.”

“The new energy transition requires the unity of social and economic values,” emphasized Wei Sizhe. By meeting customer needs through agile innovation and integrating industrial resources via ecological collaboration, Schneider Electric has achieved dual  (implementation) of green goals and commercial value in scenarios like the Saudi PV project and Wuhan PV-storage base, providing a replicable “dual-drive” paradigm for industry transformation.
