Manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, the 1336-BDB-SP1C PCB is a Gate Drive PCB (printed circuit boards) that is designed and intended for the 1336 AC drive series. This printed circuit board functions as a replacement part for Allen-Bradley 1336 AC drives with a Horsepower rating of 7.5 Horsepower and it uses 460 Volts AC input power. As one of the Level 1 spare parts, this Gate Drive PCB is implemented on the Frame B drives by Alle- Bradley in Series C upwards. In the 1336 AC Drives, it acts as the power amplifier, which converts the low power signal control to a high-level for driving and switching IGBTs. The 1336-BDB-SP1C Gate Drive PCB features up to 6 connectors placed on its surface to help with the power supply as well as the data and signal exchange with the 1336 printed circuit boards installed on the AC drive.

When replacing the 1336-BDB-SP1C Gate Drive PCB, it is strategically placed slightly beneath the main control board. Remove the housing of the 1336 AC drive as well as the MCB to make it easy to dismount the gate drive PCB. Also, all the connectors must be disconnected, and the fastening screws must be removed. Errors will indicate that the Gate Drive PCB on the corresponding 1336 AC drive needs a replacement, and these errors are the “EE Init Read” and “DSP Checksum” errors. Ensure that the positive and negative terminals have zero voltage even after the drive is shut down or before the replacement process begins.
