CPU 61203 is a modular controller launched by Schneider Electric (formerly AEG) and serves as the core processing unit of its Modicon M340 series. Designed for small and medium-sized automation systems, this product is compatible with a variety of fieldbuses (including Profibus, CANopen, and Ethernet/IP) and supports high-speed logic operations, motion control, and process control functions.
The CPU is separated from I/O and communication modules, facilitating on-site expansion and maintenance.
Multiple fieldbus connections can be achieved by replacing communication modules on the same hardware platform, reducing the overall system cost.
The 32-bit processor, combined with a dedicated motion control instruction set, meets the requirements of high-speed motion and complex logic operations.
Compliant with the IEC 61508 SIL 2 safety standard, it is equipped with self-protection functions such as a watchdog and redundant power supply.
Supports Schneider EcoStruxure Control (based on IEC 61131-3) and STEP 7 (PLC Open) programming environments.
Includes processor, memory, system bus, and power supply module.
Provides power distribution and high-speed data bus to connect the CPU with various functional modules.
Profibus, CANopen, Ethernet/IP, etc.
Digital input/output, analog input/output, counter/pulse modules, etc.
Metal chassis compliant with IEC 60204-1 standard, featuring dustproof and moisture-proof design.
Motion and process control of assembly lines, packaging machinery, and CNC machine tools.
Monitoring and regulation of continuous production processes in chemical, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Centralized control of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
Conveyor belts, stackers, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), etc.
Ensure that the internal space of the cabinet meets the heat dissipation requirements of the backplane and reserve sufficient wiring space.
Adopt a 24 V DC power supply compliant with IEC 60364 standard, check the polarity, and install surge protection devices.
Perform plugging and unplugging of I/O and communication modules under power-off condition to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage.
All on-site wiring should use color coding and labels compliant with IEC 60445 for convenient later maintenance.
Use the official Schneider EcoStruxure Control software to check and upgrade the firmware to ensure system security.
Clean and tighten the power supply, heat sinks, and connection terminals every 6 months, and replace aging components in a timely manner.
