Overview
The GE DPI832 is an instrument designed for process calibration and maintenance. It is suitable for the inspection and maintenance of transmitters, control loops, DCS, PLC input cards, signal conditioners, and other equipment. As a handheld instrument, it offers high cost-effectiveness and is applicable for the detection and calibration of various general process parameters. It can measure and output mA, mV, and V, and is capable of capturing switch trip values, making it an ideal tool for process technicians.

- Measurement and Output: mA, mV, V.
- Functions: It features programmable step and ramp output, and allows adjustment of “fine-tune” values to provide incremental output. This facilitates accurate setting of valve positioners and testing of switches, relays, trip mechanisms, alarm devices, etc.
- Characteristics: It includes functions such as reading hold, maximum/minimum/average value (with timestamp), scaling, migration (drift), and damping filtering. These features are beneficial for system inspection and troubleshooting.
- Power Supply: Two independent 24V power supplies, which provide power to transmitters and control loops.
- Other Functions: It supports automatic switch testing and captures open/closed contacts, enabling fast and safe “safety system” checks; HART resistor support allows switching into the loop when required by HART digital communicators.
