1. Overview
The HIMA SB3073-EX is a temperature transmitter-type isolated safety barrier. It is designed to convert resistance temperature detector (RTD) or thermocouple signals into standard 4–20mA/1–5V signals, achieving intrinsic safety isolation. This product is suitable for flammable and explosive environments, such as those in the chemical and petroleum industries. Its core function is to prevent dangerous energy from being transmitted back to on-site equipment, and it meets explosion-proof grade requirements (e.g., Ex ia II C).
2. Parameters
- Input/Output: It supports RTDs (Pt100, Cu50) or thermocouples (customization required). The output signals are 4–20mA or 1–5V, and the power supply is 24V DC±10%.
- Isolation Capability: It features three-port isolation (isolation between power supply, input, and output). The isolation voltage is ≥250V, the operating temperature ranges from -20℃ to 60℃, and the storage temperature ranges from -40℃ to 60℃.
- Dimensions and Weight: The approximate dimensions are 112.6×99×17.5mm, and the weight is about 150g (for DIN rail mounting).
