    6. Installation and Maintenance Points

    Step Key Points
    Pre – installation Preparation Confirm that the rack backplane voltage is 24 V DC ±5% and the grounding resistance is ≤1 Ω. Reserve a heat dissipation space of ≥1U between the upper and lower modules.
    Mechanical Installation Fix the module with screws to ensure that the buckles are tightly clamped. To avoid electrostatic damage, wear an anti – static wristband during operation.
    Electrical Wiring Connect the power supply, I/O terminals, and communication ports according to the wiring diagram. Check the polarity and grounding.
    Software Configuration Use Honeywell Experion PKS or the corresponding DCS/PLC software for module identification, channel mapping, and parameter setting.
    Function Self – inspection After startup, perform the ControlFLASH firmware integrity verification and check the automatic diagnosis report.
    Daily Maintenance Check the power supply voltage stabilization, grounding, and cable integrity quarterly. Export the logs when the SOE buffer is ≥80% to prevent overwriting. Conduct regular online diagnosis tests.
    Fault Handling Locate the faulty module through the built – in diagnosis function, and automatically switch to the healthy sub – station using the voting mechanism to minimize downtime.
