• Remote I/O Expansion: Can be mounted on the right side of mainstream communication modules including CI501-PNIO, CI502-PNIO, CI504-PNIO, CI506-PNIO, CI511-ETHCAT, CI512-ETHCAT, CI541-DP, CI542-DP, CI581-CN and CI582-CN to realize remote I/O data transmission and control functions

6. Installation and Maintenance

6.1 Installation Steps

1. Power Off Operation: Before any installation and disassembly operations on the AC500 system, cut off all power supplies including working power and external power supply to ensure operation safety.
2. Select Installation Position: Determine the installation position, and install the module on the right side of the compatible CPU module or designated expansion module.
3. Fix the Module: Adopt standard installation methods to fix the module firmly to avoid loose connection caused by equipment vibration.
4. Dock with Base Plate: Ensure the module is accurately docked with the industrial base plate, and the system will automatically complete electrical connection after correct docking.
5. Parameter Configuration: Complete communication protocol selection and parameter debugging through supporting programming software to match the system operation requirements.

6.2 Installation Precautions

• It is strictly forbidden to disassemble or remove the module in a live state to avoid equipment damage and safety accidents.
• Confirm that all power supplies are completely cut off before all maintenance and installation operations.
• The module must be installed and operated in a qualified temperature environment (-40°C to +70°C).
• Use matching base terminals such as TB511 and TB5620 to ensure the stability of electrical connection.

6.3 Maintenance Requirements

• Regularly check the connecting terminals and interfaces to eliminate hidden dangers of loose connection and poor contact.
• Keep the module surface and installation environment clean to prevent dust accumulation from affecting heat dissipation and signal transmission.
• Regularly observe and check the status of communication indicator lights to judge the normal operation of the module.
• Update the module firmware regularly to obtain the latest functional upgrades and security patches, ensuring stable and efficient system operation.
• Complete system configuration and program programming with Automation Builder 2.0 or above versions.
