The GE Fanuc 8102-HO-IP is a compact process I/O module built for applications where accurate analog control and HART communication are required together. As an 8-channel 4–20 mA analog output module, it converts controller commands into continuous field signals for industrial devices.
Unlike a standard analog output module, the 8102-HO-IP adds HART pass-through and data acquisition capabilities. This gives operators access to additional information from compatible intelligent field instruments.
Each channel provides a standard 4–20 mA output, while the specified full signal range extends from 1 to 23 mA. The module offers 12-bit resolution and an accuracy of ±0.25% of span over its specified temperature range.

HART is one of the most useful features of the 8102-HO-IP. Each channel can communicate with a compatible HART field instrument, while HART Universal Command 3 can provide access to multiple dynamic process variables together with status information.
As a result, the module can be useful when a control system needs more than a simple analog signal. Engineers can combine traditional 4–20 mA control with additional instrument information without installing a separate communication module.
The module has a compact 42 mm-wide design and weighs approximately 200 g. It interfaces with the PAC8000 Railbus and uses 24 VDC bussed field power for field-side operation. Channel-to-Railbus isolation is specified at 100 VAC, while the field circuits are designed as non-incendive circuits.
Compatible field terminals include options for general-purpose and non-incendive wiring, allowing the module to be incorporated into different industrial installation environments.
