Core Positioning: As the “core processor” of the Safety Instrumented System (SIS), it is responsible for executing Safety Functions and Fault Detection.
Key Characteristics: Equipped with a Redundancy design, it can continue safe operation in the event of a Single Point of Failure (SPOF), ensuring “safe shutdown” rather than “out of control” of the industrial process.
