1. Overview
The MVI156E-MNET is an industrial Ethernet interface module based on the Modbus TCP/IP protocol. It is mainly used to connect traditional fieldbuses (such as Modbus RTU, HART, etc.) or field devices (such as measuring instruments, valves) to the Ethernet network, supporting point-to-point or star topology.

- Indicators: LED indicators are set on the front panel to display power status, network connection status and communication indication.

- Process Control: Connect on-site temperature, pressure, flow and other instruments to the upper computer for centralized monitoring.

- Energy Management: Connect electrical meters, transformer monitoring devices and other equipment to realize energy consumption monitoring and data collection.

6. Installation and Maintenance
Installation
Generally, it is installed on a DIN rail or directly assembled in a cabinet. During installation, ensure that the Ethernet cable is a shielded twisted pair (Cat5e or higher grade), and connect the module to the switch or router through the network cable.
Configuration
Some models support configuring network parameters such as IP address and subnet mask through a web interface or front-panel buttons.
Maintenance
Regularly check the contact status of the RJ45 interface to ensure that the cable is not damaged; use the front-panel indicators or Modbus client software on the PC (such as ModScan) to monitor the communication status and troubleshoot network faults in a timely manner.
