Product Overview
The ProSoft MVI69-PDPS is a communication module designed for industrial automation systems. Its core function is to convert Allen-Bradley PLC systems into slave devices within a Profibus DP network, enabling PLCs to read from or write data to field devices via the Profibus network.

Installation & Maintenance
Installation
- Insert the MVI69-PDPS into an empty slot of the Allen-Bradley 1769 backplane (i.e., the rack of CompactLogix or MicroLogix systems)
- Connect to the Profibus DP master station via the 2.5mm M12 interface (usually a DP master module of PLC or other DP master devices)
Configuration
- Set parameters such as node address, communication rate and I/O size via RSLogix 5000 software
- Download the configured parameters to the module after completion
Maintenance
- Regularly check the LED status indicators to monitor the communication health
- In case of communication errors, inspect the network cable connections and node address configuration
- The module supports hot-swapping, allowing replacement during system operation under normal circumstances
