    1. Overview

    The CA-ZOOM adopts the iView™ Image Management Platform, integrating interchangeable camera heads, handheld controllers, movable or fixed Camera Control Units (CCUs), as well as various lighting, storage, and power supply options. The system supports both aerial and underwater operations, enabling real-time control via the color VGA display on the handheld controller. It is suitable for inspection, maintenance, and quality control in high-risk industries such as electric power, petrochemicals, nuclear energy, and aerospace.


    2. Main Specifications

    • Optical Zoom: The PTZ140 model offers 25× optical zoom + 1× digital zoom (totaling approximately 300×), while the PTZ100 model provides 10× optical zoom + 4× digital zoom (approximately 40×).
    • Resolution: 470 HTV lines (about 1280×1024 pixels), capable of capturing thin wires with a diameter of 1/2 mil (around 12 μm).
    • Lighting System: 12 dual-light-source lamps of 35 W, featuring both spot and flood light modes; maximum total power of 80 W (Turbo mode).
    • Working Distance: It can distinguish thin wires of 0.5 mil (12 μm) within a range of 1.8 m (6 ft).
    • Size and Weight: The overall length is approximately 287 mm, with a diameter of 139 mm, allowing passage through 140 mm openings; the aluminum body weighs about 3 kg, and the stainless steel option weighs around 6 kg.

    • Camera Control Unit (CCU): Available in portable or boxed versions, with a built-in 32-bit processor, CompactFlash storage, video I/O interfaces, and a power management module.
    • Power Supply and Cable System: Comprises high-voltage resistant power cables, signal transmission cables (up to 500 m in length), and dedicated waterproof cables for underwater operations.

    6. Installation and Maintenance Points

    On-site Preparation

    1. Confirm that the opening size at the installation location is ≥ 140 mm and ensure the base is flat and stable.
    2. Check that the power supply meets the requirements of AC 100-240 V and 3 A.

    Mechanical Installation

    1. Install the camera head on the bracket or hole using four 1/4-20 threaded fixing points.
    2. If a stainless steel body is used, corresponding anti-corrosion bolts must be employed.

    Cable Routing

    1. Select signal cables suitable for a maximum distance of 500 m (approximately 1640 ft), and use waterproof cables (maximum 45 m) for underwater operations.
    2. Ensure the connection between the cable reel and the control box is secure to avoid stretching or twisting.

    System Debugging

    1. Start the CCU and check the video input/output, USB 2.0 streaming, and memory card recognition.
    2. Calibrate the lighting, zoom, and temperature alarm thresholds via the handheld controller.

    Daily Maintenance

    1. Regularly clean the light lenses and camera housing to prevent dust and oil from affecting image quality.
    2. Check the bulb life (approximately 2000 hours for 35 W lamps) and replace them when necessary.
    3. Back up the CompactFlash card to prevent data loss.
    4. Perform a system firmware upgrade every six months to obtain the latest iView functions and security patches.

    Troubleshooting

    1. If image noise or distortion occurs, first check the light power supply and lens cleanliness.
    2. When a temperature alarm is triggered, stop operations immediately and check the heat dissipation channel or change the environment.
    3. For communication interruptions, check the cable connections, joint waterproof sealing, and the power status of the CCU.
