    1. Overview

    The GE Multilin LM10 low-voltage motor protection system is a modular device dedicated to the protection of low-voltage motors. Featuring a compact and sophisticated design, it serves as an ideal protection solution for Low-Voltage Motor Control Centers (MCCs). In addition to MCC applications, the system can also be deployed independently for low-voltage motor protection. The LM10 is factory-equipped with the DeviceNet protocol, enabling users to remotely control and monitor motor operating status via network connections.

    Monitors motor operating status in real time and prevents continuous stall operation of motors under abnormal load conditions.
    Load Loss Protection
    Realizes real-time monitoring of motor load loss faults and triggers corresponding protection mechanisms to ensure safe equipment operation.
    Power-off Restart Function
    Supports automatic restart operation after accidental power failure, ensuring continuous and stable operation of the production system.

    4. Structure and Composition

    4.1 Basic Unit Structure

    4.1.1 Main Protection Unit

    Equipped with a 6-channel simultaneous sampling A/D converter and on-board signal conditioning circuit, it realizes high-precision data acquisition of three-phase current, single-phase voltage and ground wire signals. Adopts non-volatile memory to stably store motor trip event data, ensuring no loss of fault records after power failure.

    4.1.2 Programmable Display Unit (PDU)

    The LM10 Programmable Display Unit (PDU) is an optional accessory. It can be connected to the main protection unit through an RJ11 connector, supporting on-site local programming, parameter configuration and real-time operating data monitoring. It can intuitively display all internal operating data and fault information of the relay.

    4.1.3 Interface Module

    Integrates a standard DeviceNet communication interface, which supports daisy-chain connection to facilitate multi-device networking deployment. Equipped with an independent auxiliary communication port, specially used for stable connection and data interaction with the PDU display unit.

    4.1.4 Matching CT Components

    Support customized matching three-phase current transformers (CTs) for three-phase current signal acquisition. A dedicated ground CT can be additionally purchased as a supporting component to realize accurate monitoring of ground fault current.
