    • Clear Status Indication: The front panel is equipped with multiple groups of LED indicators, which real-time display system status such as RUN, ON LINE, PROGRAM, TEST, HEALTH, I/O SCAN, BATTERY, and SI/O COMMS, facilitating quick diagnosis.
    • User-Friendly: Equipped with a physical key switch to prevent misoperation, and an integrated diagnostic port for connection to a PC or maintenance workstation (such as TriBuild software).
    • Long-Life Design: Key components adopt industrial-grade standards, with a long design life and support for full lifecycle management.

    Connectors

    • J1 Connector: Connected to the I/O module through the backplane expansion area ‘d’.
    • J2 Connector: Includes three functional areas:

      Rear Connector ‘e’: Used for accessing the expansion backplane (such as MBB bus expander).

      • Area ‘b’: Connected to other MPP modules to form the inter-processor communication bus.
      • Areas ‘a’ and ‘c’: Connected to the backplane expansion bus for connecting other expansion modules.

    Front Panel

    Includes a key switch, 8 status LED indicators, and a 9-pin D-sub diagnostic port.

    Battery

    Internal replaceable lithium-ion battery, connected to the back of the PCB through an interface for SRAM data protection.

    6. Installation Guide

    • Environment Preparation: Ensure the installation cabinet meets the environmental requirements of ABB Triguard SC300E (temperature, humidity, dustproof, antimagnetic).
    • Power-Off Operation: Before inserting or pulling out the module, ensure the system power is turned off (unless performing hot swapping, which must strictly follow the procedures).
    • Installation Position: Slide the MPP module vertically into the corresponding slot of the 9U standard rack, ensuring that the J1 and J2 connectors are fully engaged with the backplane.
    • Fixing: Use panel screws to fix the module on the rack.
    • Wiring Check: Check the backplane bus connection to ensure there is no short circuit or poor contact.
    • Initialization: After power-on, turn the front panel key switch to the RUN position, observe the status of the LED indicators, and confirm that the RUN and ON LINE lights are on; the HEALTH light on indicates the system is normal.
