Installation and Maintenance Guidelines

Mechanical Installation

• Use the provided mounting brackets/bolts to fix the chassis on a DIN rail or inside a cabinet.
• Align the front panel (keyboard or buttons) with the chassis using snaps or screws, ensuring the gasket is intact to meet IP65 protection requirements.

Electrical Connection

• Connect power cables, serial ports, Ethernet, DI/DO, and other interfaces according to the wiring diagram.
• For differential buses such as RS-485/CAN, use terminal resistors to prevent signal reflection.

Software Deployment

• Install the operating system (Windows 10 IoT, Linux) and PKIM Utility onto the system via USB/network.
• Use PKIM Utility for firmware updates, parameter configuration, and batch management.

Debugging and Acceptance

• After startup, check the self-test log to confirm all I/O ports are functioning normally.
• Perform functional tests (touchscreen response, keyboard input, serial communication) and record the test results.

Daily Maintenance

• Regular Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to remove dust from the chassis surface; avoid corrosive cleaning agents.
• Hot-Swapping Replacement: SSD, memory, and I/O modules support hot-swapping. Ensure power is turned off or use the hot-swap function before replacement.
• Firmware Updates: It is recommended to check the PKIM server for the latest firmware every 6 months to ensure security and compatibility.
